The following policies provide important information about working with Anxiety Wellness Center of Chicagoland, a specialty practice focused on evidence-based anxiety and OCD treatment in the Chicagoland area. Transparency around fees, insurance, and privacy is an important part of the therapeutic process.
Fee-for-Service Model
Anxiety Wellness Center of Chicagoland is a fee-for-service practice.
Payment is due at the time services are provided. Fees reflect the specialized nature of anxiety and OCD treatment and are consistent with other highly trained specialty providers in the area. Please contact the office directly for current fee information.
Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
Anxiety Wellness Center of Chicagoland does not participate with insurance panels and is considered an out-of-network provider.
Many insurance plans (excluding Medicare and Medicaid) offer reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Reimbursement rates often differ only slightly from in-network benefits, depending on your specific plan.
If you plan to seek reimbursement, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to beginning treatment to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits. A detailed statement (often referred to as a “superbill”) will be provided with all necessary information for insurance submission.
Why We Are Out-of-Network
The decision to remain out-of-network is intentional and grounded in clinical integrity.
Effective treatment for anxiety disorders and OCD — particularly when using evidence-based approaches such as exposure therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — often requires flexibility. Treatment may involve extended sessions, increased frequency during critical phases, or in vivo exposure work outside of the office setting.
Insurance plans frequently place restrictions on session length, frequency, and treatment structure. Working outside of these constraints allows therapy to remain individualized, responsive, and clinically driven rather than dictated by coverage limitations.
This model supports high-quality, specialized anxiety treatment tailored to each client’s needs.
Good Faith Estimate
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services.
Notice of Privacy Practices
Your privacy is an essential part of the therapy process. This Notice of Privacy Practices explains how your protected health information may be used and disclosed, and your rights regarding your records.
